Available Position: Structural Design Engineer

 

Job Opening: Project Engineer
Perform extensive analysis and research to develop construction plans based on client’s specific
preference and architectural and engineering requirements; ensure design plans and blueprints are in
compliance with civil engineering standards, building codes and procedures; develop structural design
plans and details using AutoCAD, Enercalc, Risa 2D, Risa 3D, and Excel; analyze long range plans,
survey reports, maps, and other data for assigned design projects; prepare reports and make
configurations and calculations about loads and stresses for each component such as walls,
columns, beams, and joists; select appropriate construction materials; provide technical advice;
obtain planning and/or building regulations approval; liaise with relevant professional staff such as
architects, interior designers and other engineers to go over plans and blueprints, and to agree on safe
designs and their fit with the aesthetic concept of the construction; monitor and inspect work undertaken
by contractors, and inspect construction properties as part of the design responsibilities; manage budgets,
resources, and deadlines, and prepare internal and external reports pertaining to design status.


Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or structural engineering. Must have 12 months experience on all
phases of structural design projects. Must have structural design knowledge to incorporate building codes
and standard including CBC, ASCE 7, NDS, ACI 318, AISC 360, AISC 34. Must be proficient in using
professional software including AutoCAD, Enercalc, Risa 3D, and SAP2000.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, 40 hrs/w
Rate of pay commensurate with experience
